Settlement or Trial
Settlement or trial are the two roads to obtaining compensation for injuries caused by someone else. If your case is worth a total of over $100,000, the insurance carrier or company demands that the suit be filed so they can investigate to understand if the case is indeed serious and deserves monetary compensation of that much. When cases are properly prepared they usually settle. If there are issues regarding liability, cases can go to trial which is the only other method of compelling the insurance carrier, company or other motorist to compensate the victim or victim’s family.
Throughout our years of experience we have learned that insurance carriers take a very skeptical approach to fully compensating the victim of a motorcycle accident. During the trial, juries commonly believe that motorcyclists are daredevils and should be responsible for others’ conduct. Yet our success rate is still 99%. Thorough preparation is one of the key ingredients.
