There are multiple different ways to lawfully use roadways in California and across the country. While most people typically consider traditional motor vehicles when they consider road use, motorcyclists, among others, have the same right to be on roads. Because of the presence of these nontraditional vehicles, drivers must remain vigilant at all times. Unfortunately, a fatal accident is currently under investigation.
The accident happened one evening on a day in late October. According to reports, the motorcyclist, described as a young male, was headed north on a road in California. Police say he was struck by a sports utility vehicle that was turning left out of a grocery store parking lot.
The victim was transported to the hospital but reports indicate that he passed away as a result of his injuries. The driver of the SUV is said to have remained at the scene and is cooperating with the police. The road was closed for several hours as police investigated the accident.
Unfortunately, a fatal car accident can happen in the blink of eye, making it necessary for all users of the roadways to drive cautiously. As a result of this fatal accident, a family is now left coping with the unexpected death of their loved one, including the emotional and financial ramifications of such a loss. To help cope with funeral costs and other expenses stemming from an accident, many in California who have lost a loved one in such a manner have chosen to pursue claims for damages in a civil court.
