Traffic in major cities can be challenging at various times throughout the day, particularly during morning and evening rush hours. As such, all drivers must remain vigilant and drive defensively at all times, especially motorcyclists who could find themselves victims of motorcycle accidents. Unfortunately, a man has recently lost his life in an accident involving a tractor-trailer.

The incident happened one evening on a day in July. According to reports, a 39-year-old man on a motorcycle was headed home from work on a California freeway. Unfortunately, the driver of a tractor-trailer veered into another lane, striking a sedan. That sedan struck another vehicle before hitting the concrete median and traveling into the path of the motorcyclist, causing a collision.

The driver of the sedan was transported to the hospital, suffering from multiple broken bones. The motorcyclist was also taken to the hospital, but he died soon afterward as a result of injuries suffered in the collision. Police say that they driver of the tractor-trailer fled the scene, and they are now looking for that person. Witnesses describe the tractor-trailer as red with a chrome bumper that was damaged in the collision.

With the technology available to police and the power of social media, many times, drivers who flee the scene of motorcycle accidents or any other type of motor vehicle accident are located. In the meantime, a family is left coping with the unexpected loss of their loved one. Once the driver is discovered, the California family may choose to file a personal injury lawsuit. If it can be proved that their loss was the result of another's negligence, they could receive a financial award that will allow them manage the financial fallout of their loss.
